... The Tigers haven't had a dominant running game this season, but the absence of Deangelo White - out due to knee injury - has really shown. White was averaging 7 yards per carry with 647 yards on 92 rushes and 9 touchdowns. He also was a threat to catch the ball out of the backfield.
Smith needs some kind of wrinkle offensively - maybe inserting Cam Kelly in the backfield back at QB and see if his scrambling can create problems. Otherwise, King's Fork is strong enough to hang in this one till the very end as they did a week ago when tying Deep Creek up late and winning in OT.
King's Fork has to capitalize soon though when they get inside the 30 of Oscar Smith. Those opportunities don't come around frequently. A heavier workload for Butts is likely in the 2nd half, and taking a couple of shots with their speedsters on play-action - particularly Boone on Joe - against the smaller DB's in stature of Oscar Smith could yield a big play.
This game really does look like first one to score a TD will win.
