What is everyone's outlook? Who is the leading favorite ? Who do you think will be a surprise ?

Mathews has the best player in the Tidewater. Lancaster will be solid once again. Essex has a ton of potential. Out west, I think George Wythe has the potential to make it to the state tourney.

PM will be tough in girls basketball ..and with new coach C running the show for the boys they will get better and make a runnext season ...got two freshman twins that are lights out...will be fun to watch this year

A guy I work with said PM should be decent. Covington will still be better in my opinion.

Northumberland should be quite good again and should be in the discussion. The Indians lost at Radford in the State Qs last season. They return a few starters and had a fantastic JV team (I think they won like 20 games or so).

Northumberland, Essex, and Lancaster should all be going at it again. Not sure about the other Neck teams. Will have to wait for Rapp Times preview. Last year's Essex at NHS game saw like 200 fans turned away at the door as it was sold out. May happen again.
