Fredericksburg Christian defeated Isle of Wight 21-7 in a game I nominated as game of the week. Antwan Johnson tossed three touchdown passes and the Eagles made a 4th-and-goal stop at their own 1-yard line. Fredericksburg Christian is now 3-0.

North Cross improved to 2-0 with a 35-0 win over Fishburne Military Academy. Quarterback Maurice Garrison passed for 276 yards and four touchdowns. Dakoda Rose was credited with 13 tackles and a forced fumble.

Sophomores Alvonte Lawton and Lamareon James combined for six touchdowns for Norfolk Christian in their win over Atlantic Shores. Lawton threw for 242 yards and four touchdowns while James added 179 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Portsmouth Christian totaled over 450 yards in offense as they won a shootout against Hampton Roads Academy 61-40. Camden Gray gained 147 yards on seven carries with four going for touchdowns. Gray also added 10 tackles. Sean Connor had 3.5 sacks and 13 tackles.

St Christopher's needed overtime to defeat St Stephens-St Agnes 21-20. St Stephens-St Agnes missed an extra point in overtime. Hartley Jordan gained 96 yards and Justin Jaster pulled in a 52-yard touchdown reception. Daymone Flemming led the defense with 13 tackles and a sack. He also was in on the blocked extra point.

Ben Bailey 18 rushes for 209 and two touchdowns while adding a 37 yard touchdown reception. He also had eight solo tackles and a interception. Billy French had seven carries for 98 yards with two scores while going 3 of 3 passing for 25 yards. Tyler Thomas had three interceptions including a pick-six.

Myles Ward ran two kickoffs back for touchdowns in the 3rd quarter as St Anne's-Belfield defeated Randolph Macon Academy 66-26. After falling behind 8-0, the Saints scored 26 straight points to lead at halftime. Chase Emmert completed 6 of 10 passes for 152 yards and three touchdowns while Amani Woods ran for 135 yards.

Senior fullback Donavan Jackson had four long touchdown runs (all over 27 yards) to help Covenant to a 55-16 win over Virginia Episcopal. Jackson finished with 204 yards on seven carries.

St John Paul the Great held on to beat Potomac School 28-26. The Panthers scored on a 2-yard fuble but the 2-point conversion failed. Nate Stefonsky ran for 99 yards on 22 carries with two touchdowns.

Blue Ridge improved to 2-0 with a 26-6 win over Hargrave Military Academy. Xavier Kane totaled 335 yards including four touchdowns. Flint Hill used their ground attack to beat Paul VI 35-13. Running back Jordan Houston led the way with 145 rushing yards with three touchdowns. Woodberry Forest and Episcopal both won on Saturday.
