East Carolina commit Deshaun Wade could not have had a more different two games during the State tournament. He did not score any points in the semi-final game but he led the Mavericks with 29 points in the championship game. Wade made 9 of 10 free throws in the 4th quarter while finishing with six rebounds. Aundre Hyatt scored 23 and 18 points while adding 17 total rebounds. Hyatt is a good shooter from deep and has good length. He re-classed to the 2019 class. Senior Jaylin Reed made four three's while scoring 21 points in the semi-final win while adding 13 points in the championship game. Dae Dae Heard scored 12 points each in both games while stuffing the stat book with steals, assists and rebounds. Tariq Balogun (6-foot-10) had a quiet tournament with nine points and six rebounds in two games but he showed flashes in spots.

Darius Mcghee averaged 25 points during the two games at Virginia State University including 30 points in the State championship game. He made eight 3-pointers some of which were well outside the 3-point line. Darius uses his quickness to get his shot off quickly. Sardaar Calhoun is a streaky scorer who scored in double-figures during both games. Strong and athletic, Calhoun has a solid build and looks like a free safety at first glance. His range extends to 3-point range. Big man Jaden Frazier (6-foot-8) had a great 1st game scoring 15 points with five rebounds and a block but he was missing in action during the championship game as he didn't score a point. Senior Myles Jones had 19 points during the two games and added solid defensive play on the other end. Jones led the Barons with seven assists. He has interests from Wofford, Virginia Wesleyan, and Hampton Sydney.

Walsingham Academy junior Jaylin Stewart scored 28 points with six rebounds in the semi-final game loss to eventual champion Miller School. Stewart scored 10 in the 4th quarter using his strong frame to attack the basket for layups. Stewart made only one three but TCIS Player of The Year and 1st Team All-State. Stewart doesn't have any offers but is receiving interest from Hampton, Longwood, and Radford. Freshman Marcus Banks averaged close to 19 points per game but he was hounded all afternoon by the Miller defense. He didn't score his 1st points until the 4th quarter finishing with six points. The 2021 product already has an offer from Hampton University. Sam Jones (6-foot-2) was the only other Trojan to score in double digits with 12.

Princeton commit Jaelin Llewellyn went out with a bang draining five straight 3-pointers for Virginia Episcopal School in their loss to Miller School. He scored 18 of his 26 points in the 4th quarter.. Junior Bryce Waterman added 15 points while junior Patrick Kelly (6-foot-8) grabbed 12 rebounds to go along with six points.
