Essex needs this victory to stay in the hunt for homefield advantage and the confidence to finish up strong in Salem.
JAMES MONROE (3-1) at ESSEX (3-1)
The most anticipated contest is finally here and expect it to be filled with exciting moments. James Monroe has played 3 close games this season and nothing they've done shows that the Trojans won't be able to go toe to toe with them. Essex is running the football better than they have in the past and their defense is clearly delivering. Ever since their lost in Goochland, Essex has improved each week. Sterling Hammond and the defense should have plenty of opportunities to leave their mark. Petersburg exposed some weak spots in the Jackets defense but JM has had two weeks to fix what Essex may plan to exploit. It won't matter, as Coach John Fulks and staff will leave this one happy.

Big Game for the Cougars in the Armory in Franklin this Friday night. The Broncos offensive line will get plenty of work.
SURRY COUNTY (4-0) at FRANKLIN (1-3)
Surry County is riding high with visions of a dream season on their minds. Franklin is looking to crash the party though. The Cougars haven't won in Franklin since 2007 and the Broncos have the speed to make this one interesting. Steve Smallwood Jr. will have to keep tabs of Javontae Baker in the backfield for Franklin. Timothy Marsh Jr. and Ahkeem Briggs will be the key to have interesting this one gets.

WEST POINT (1-3) at LANCASTER (4-0)
One team is looking to make a name for themselves while the other is try to be a spoiler and gain momentum. The Pointers have taken a disappointing turn with some unexpected losses. Friday night will be the perfect chance to spark a season run to restore Pointer football. The Red Devils speed kills and this will be fun but Lancaster is better than you thought.

COLONIAL BEACH (3-1) at CHARLES CITY (1-3)
The Panthers have had two weeks to prepare for their guest from Westmoreland County. Colonial Beach will be coming in looking to fix what went wrong in the 2nd half versus King George. Lamar Lucas will have a big night so get your popcorn ready. Just too strong of a running game for the young Panthers to endure late.

KING WILLIAM (2-2) at CAROLINE
This is just what King William wants right now is a solid win on the road against a 4A school that could help them crash the top 8 of the playoff race. If these Cavaliers can't get this victory however then the first round and each round in the playoffs will be away from Central Garage. Don't worry though, Jacob Jones will have a stellar performance in this one.
