REGION A SPOTLIGHT
As we completed week 2 of Region A football, we had some solid performances that deserved notice. More teams will play this week coming off a bye as the action really heats up across the region. Check out these standout performances:
OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Jacob Jones KING WILLIAM Such a much better player this season, Jones rushed 7 times for 140 yards, was 9 pf 13 passing for 137 yards, and had 5 total touchdowns. He rushed for 3 touchdowns and passed for 2
Churrio Scott SUSSEX CENTRAL The powerful back out of Sussex Central put up 175 yards rushing on 11 carries. His production yielded 4 total touchdowns that included 3 rushing and 1 pass caught.
DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Tyreim Blake NANDUA (6 ft 2, 180) Wise had several big plays on the rainy night including 5 tackles resulting in losses. His play help jump start the team along with the hit of the night from his teammate Mahagee Wise.
Dominique Gainey FRANKLIN (6 ft 2, 270 pds) The big man for Franklin tried to do it all on defense from end to middle linebacker. Gainey was on 8 tackles for the night and has the potential to be a major factor in the Broncos success.
