Coach Keith Stevens and his Team Takeover 17-and-live Under AAU travel squad had another fine showing at the prestigious Peach Jam, the highly anticipated summer event to conclude Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League during the live recruiting period in front of college coaches.

As the likes of the last two National Championship winning coaches - Duke's Mike Krzyzewski and Connecticut's Kevin Ollie - watched on along with countless others, as the Georgia Stars rallied from 12 down in the second half for an 83-77 overtime win over Team Takeover.

Auburn commit Jared Harper led the way for Georgia Stars with 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field and 6-of-7 at the foul line. It was Harper who went coast-to-coast for a lay-up that tied the game with 2.2 seconds left in regulation.

Team Takeover used a 14-0 run early in the first half to claim a double-figure advantage and led 36-26 at the half as they shot 54% from the field compared to 32% for the Georgia Stars. However, in the second half, the Georgia Stars used their height advantage to make the deficit disappear, tying the game up at the 3:20 mark.

Five-star and Louisville recruit V.J. King from Paul VI finished with a game-high 26 points, including 18-of-22 from the foul line, and grabbed six rebounds for Team Takeover.

Takeover was without Pittsburgh commit Corey Manigault, also of Paul VI, the entire Peach Jam as he recovers from a fractured toe.

Another PVI prospect, Class of 2017 point guard Aaron Thompson, sank the game-winner for Team Takeover in their exciting 58-56 overtime triumph over the PSA Cardinals on Saturday night in the quarterfinals at Peach Jam. He, along with Westfield Class of 2016 forward Tyler Scanlon, were the catalysts in that overtime battle that allowed them to advance to Sunday's final day of the tourney in North Augusta, South Carolina.

Team Takeover finished 4-2 at Peach Jam with their other loss coming to Team CP3, which also squandered a double-digit lead in the semifinals to St. Louis Eagles.

In a matchup billed about two five-star recruits and close friends going head-to-head in Harry Giles for CP3 and Jayson Tatum, the hero turned out to be Jordan Barnes, whose three-pointer falling away at the buzzer propelled St. Louis' Eagles to a stunning 74-73 win.

Afterwards, Tatum - ranked #3 in the country by Rivals.com - announced his intention to play College Basketball in the ACC at Duke.
