The Tigers Trevon Hatch pulled away from the Bulldog defense.

SUSSEX- Luray came in hoping to extend their season but the odds were against them and they didn't help it either as the speed and power of the Tigers forced them into 3 consecutive turnovers to start the game. The Bulldogs smashmouth valley football has traditionally gave some teams in Region A problems over the years. There would be no issues for top ranked Sussex Central who would score on every offensive series.

Luray started with the ball first but turned over the football and giving the Tigers the ball early. Mack Prosise would end a power drive with a strong 2 yard run to go up early. Trevon Hatch would get the conversion to make it 8-0 at the 5:08 mark.

Following another Bulldog fumble, the Tigers methodically moved down the field and would score off a 10-yard pass to Tyrese Rose to make it 16-0 as Malik Delk would run the conversion. Luray would turnover again in the fog and it was Phe'Shard Harris would take a pass from Delk from 11 yards out for a score and Rose would make an excellent grab to make it 24-0 Tigers with 9:34 to play in the 2nd. Harris would make another catch for a touchdown later in the 2nd with 4:28 remaining from 14 yards out.

Luray was able to score a touchdown on a 30 yard touchdown pass to Drew Comer from Dylan Jenkins with 0:56 on the clock and would kick an onside kick and recover. They would score again after a great catch by Boo Dean followed by Shaun Campbell with 0:04 on the clock to make it 14-0. As the back ups for the Tigers got some experience.

Sussex Central (11-0) will host Altavista (9-3) either Friday night or Saturday afternoon. The Colonels won 42-10 over Central Lunenburg to set up the big match up. Luray finishes their season with a 7-5 record.
