Clearly, the top prospect at the US Army Bowl Combine was Oscar Smith defensve back Jahmari DeLoatch. He ran the fastest time in the 40-yard dash and dominated the one-on-one matchups. He has above average athletic ability and eiite coverage skills. Deloatch (5-foot-10, 165) was the only prospect with an invitation to play in the US Army Bowl game in December. Michigan, Wake Forest, and Virginia Tech are among double digit offers for Deloatch.

Safety Axavier Bridges-Brooks has 19 offers including offers from Maryland, Penn State, Tennessee, Virgina Tech and West Virginia. He won every head-to-head battle inluding a pick. He has great size (6-foot-2, 190 ) which he used to deflect and tip away passes.

Rising junior Dewon Hayes (5-foot-10, 155) plays for Salem High School in Virginia Beach and has played varsity his first two years. Hayes footwork was exceptional in the defensive back drills which he used to mirror receivers in coverage. Hayes played with an aggressive confidence in the field drills and seemed to want every rep.

Kellam 2026 cornerback Christian Henry (5-foot-8, 156) made a few nice coverage plays during the one-on-one competition against the receivers. He was physical and played aggressively in pass defense.

Rising senior Deandre Wimley (6-foot-0, 176) played safety for Bethel last year but he showed he could play any defensive back position. He has a physical build but he showed the ability to cover receivers one-on-one. Wimley was invited to be an alternate at the US Army Bowl game

I thought Fredericksburg Christian Safety Bishop Heard-Samuels (6-foot-1 200) was a linebacker when I first saw him but he was working out with the defensive backs. Heard-Samuels was able to bat down some passes and used his physicality to limit catches. He was also invited to be an alternate at the US Army Bowl game.

Jaye Snyder (5-foot-9, 170) had good combine numbers especially in the broad jump. Snyder held his own during the defensive drills and will be entering his junior season at grafton High School.
