Westfield used three turnovers and finally took charge in the second half to defeat Wakefield 17-0.

WF took the opening KO and punted after just one first down. WAKE started at their own 23 yard line and moved to the WF 21 yard line where their 4th and 5 pass attempt fell incomplete. The next four possessions, two each, ended in punts after gaining little yardage. WF's next possession started on their own 13 yard line and reached the WAKE 32 yard line where a 4th and 3 run gained the necessary first down yards, only to be negated by a holding call. After WF failed to convert WAKE took over on their own 22 yard line but went three and out. WF received the punt near midfield with 1:10 remaining in the half and moved to the WAKE 6 yard line where they stalled and had to attempt a 23 yard Bartro FG that missed wide left to end the half.

WAKE started the second half on their own 28 yard line. After a few plays WF's Gerges picked off WAKE's McAvoy at the WF 42 yard line and returned the ball to the WAKE 28 yard line. WF got a first down at the WAKE 18 yard line, but then lost yards and settled for a 34 yard Bartro FG to score the game's first points, 3-0, with 6:14 to play in the third quarter. WAKE started their next drive on their own 39 yard line but went three and out, WF then punted the ball back but a good roll pinned WAKE at their own 6 yard line. On this series McAvoy was intercepted again, this time by WF's Anderson at the WAKE 30 yard line. WF then punched it in on a 4th and goal at the one when WF's Jenks scored to extend the lead to 10-0 (Bartro XP) with 8:26 to play in the game. WAKE then ran three plays before facing a 4th and 12 at their own 48 yard line, but Gerges intercepted McAvoy again on the 4th down attempt and WF had the ball on the WAKE 39 yard line and WF soon scored again on a 4 yard Nelson run (Bartro XP) with 2:05 to play in the game. Wake was able to move down the field quickly, but a 4th and 10 attempt at the WF 17 yard line resulted in a sack and WF ran out the clock for the win.
