Westfield played a very good game overall and, behind a disciplined defense that forced four turnovers, totally outperformed South Lakes,

Westfield received the opening KO and needed just two plays to score when Kim found Howard one-on-one along the visitor's sideline and the play went 64 yards for a passing TD, 7-0 (Paige XP) just 1:03 into the game. After SL made a first down but then punted from their own 37, the short punt gave WF a 43 yard field and they took advantage when Kim hit Richards with a 12 yard pass and the lead was extended to 14-0 (Paige XP) with 5:48 to play in the first quarter. SL would start their next series on their own 14 yard line before WF's Reimonenq intercepted SL's Miles. Unable to move the ball this time, WF punted to give SL the ball back on the SL 26 yard line. SL again turned the ball over on this series, this time a fumble recovery by WF's #85 (my roster does not have this number) at the SL 42. WF would convert two 4th downs on this 42 yard drive, both on QB sneaks by Kim, and finish the drive with a 19 yard Legall run to make it 21-0 (Paige XP) with 3:55 remaining in the half. SL then put together their longest drive of the game, marching from their own 23 yard line to the WF 11 before a 2 yard tackle for loss, a pass to the WF 6 yard line, and a run to the WF 4 yard line saw them facing 4th and 3 with 8 seconds left in the half, However, a bad snap caused Miles to drop the ball, which he picked up and tossed to Dagbe at about the 12 yard line. Dagbe made a valiant effort but came up about 2 yards short as time ran out.

SL received the second half KO and again turned the ball over, this time an INT by WF's Bushra on a deep pass intended for Dagbe down the middle. With the ball on the WF 42, WF ran three plays that gained five yards before punting the ball back to SL on the SL 22. SL punted again on their series and WF had the ball on their own 37 yard line. Kim completed this drive with a 45 yard passing TD to Richards and the lead reached 28-0 (Paige XP) with 4:43 remaining in the third quarter. SL would then go three and out followed by a 69 yard drive capped by Kim's third TD pass to Richards, this time for 26 yards and the score was now 35-0 (Paige XP) with 8:43 remaining in the game. On the next SL possession they fumbled near midfield and WF recovered on the SL 48 yard line. WF's Richards took the handoff on the first play and went 52 yards around the end to get his 4th TD of the night and the score was now 42-0 (Paige XP) with 5:55 to play. After SL failed to complete a 4th and 8 on their next possession, WF ate up most of the remaining time on the clock to seal the win.
