It's been four long weeks away, but I'm back....good to see a high school football game again!

Note: I had trouble finding a good Wakefield roster so if some of the names are incorrect I apologize.

Wakefield took the opening KO and Wakefield's Poythress immediately hit his receiver with a 33 yard pass to the WF 41 yard line, where they stalled and faced a 4th and 10, but a completed a 15 yard pass moved the chains. Advancing to the WF 7 yard line, Wakefield again faced a 4th down but the pass into the end zone bounced off the receiver's hands and WF took over on their own 7 yard line. The first play was a pass into the flat that was ruled a backward pass (questionable), the receiver fumbled it, and Wakefield's Chanchan recovered on the WF 3 yard line. Wakefield's Johnson ran it in on the next play and Wakefield led, 7-0 (Pinto XP) with 6:30 remaining in the first quarter. After a Wakefield onside kick attempt, WF had good field position at their own 47 yard line. They quickly scored when Kim hit Howard on a 25 yard pass and the score was tied, 7-7 (Williams XP) with 4:35 to play in the first quarter. Wakefield went three and out on their next series and a short punt gave WF another good starting position at the Wakefield 49 yard line. On this drive WF's Legall scored on a 3 yard run and WF took the lead, 14-7 (Williams XP) with 11:55 to go in the second quarter. After another three and out for Wakefield, the punt was fielded by WF's Bushra at the WF 34 yard line and he went 66 yards for a TD to extend the lead to 20-7 (Williams XP missed) with 10:10 remaining in the half. Wakefield would start their next series at their own 24 yard line and moved to the WF 25 yard line where they faced a 4th and 4. The run was stopped 2 yards short and WF took over. WF then put together an 87 yard drive and scored when Kim hit Richard with a 13 yard pass over the middle to extend the lead to 26-7 (Williams XP missed) with 1:06 to play in the half. WF's Hoffman then picked off Wakefield's Poythress at the WF 38 and returned the ball to the Wakefield 25 yard line with 14 seconds to play in the half. After an incomplete pass, another pass to the end zone as time expired was flagged for pass interference and WF attempted a 29 yard FG by Paige, which was good, to extend the lead to 29-7 at the half.

WF received the second half KO and advanced it to their 44 yard line. Behind two Legall runs of 35 and 21 yards they scored in two plays to extend the lead to 36-7 (Paige XP) with 10:51 remaining in the third quarter. Wakefield's next series again resulted in three plays and another 4th down, this time 4th and 4 at the Wakefield 42 yard line. The run was stopped short and WF took over on the Wakefield 44 yard line. After several plays Legall ran it in again from the 8 yard line and the WF lead was now 43-7 (Paige XP) with 6:32 to play in the third quarter. With a running clock and mostly substitutes on the field, each team had two more unsuccessful possessions and the game ended 43-7, Westfield.
