Westfield linebacker C.J. Hoffman has halted his recruitment, giving a pledge to the Howard University Bison of the MEAC, coached by Larry Scott.
Hoffman - who maintains a 3.88 GPA - had over 90 tackles a season ago for a Bulldogs team currently riding a 34-game regular season winning streak. The 2nd Team All-Concorde District performer chose the Bison over offers from Morehead State and Valpo.
Westfield has reached the State Semifinals in four of the past five seasons, which included three straight Class 3 titles from 2015-17.
