It's Been a While

Good to see you back posting. I was wondering where you had disappeared to.

My 4 Reg picks would be Phoebus, Salem, Huguenot, Tuscarora.
Reg A is weak outside of Phoebus. Reg B is as strong as ever. Reg C is a mystery as always. Reg D just seems down to me this year.

I can't figure Glass out. They beat Heritage last week and then turn around and lose to Rustburg. I assume they will sneak into the playoffs as a 5-5 #8 seed. Depends on which team shows up for the playoffs.

Sticking with Lynchburg football for a minute, I can't figure out Heritage either. Overall 8-2, but they lose to Glass last week and barely beat Brookville this week. I wonder if they had a major injury late in the season?

Anyway, good to have you back!
Best game Brookville has played all season Mike. Actually recovered an onside kick in the 4th and had an opportunity to take the lead. Don't be surprised if Rustburg knocks them off in the 1st round next week.

Matoaca @ Dinwiddie

According to thread Matoaca wasn’t supposed to be in that game and dinwiddie escaped with a win. The top three lost when they weren’t supposed to. So seeds you can have them. I’m biased so me saying I think Louisa could play with dinwiddie is my opinion but the fact is dinwiddie is beatable and don’t get ahead of yourself.
Every team in the state of Virginia is beatable, except Maury.

I'm not getting ahead of anything. Just answered the question you posed. You should probably take your own advice given the history of your Lions.
I’ve always been realistic about my lions when other ppl were getting ahead of themselves. I’m not talking Louisa up I’m saying your unrealistic and just because I put a ? Behind really doesn’t mean I was posing a question. I already knew the answer I just wanted to spin up the old hens.

Salem is the team to beat in Region D. I don’t care if 3Putt is calling plays, Salem is always going to be the “team to beat in 4D”. I’d love to see GW represent the region in the state semi’s and I believe they’ll give the Spartans a good fight. Gotta beat the man to be the man.
I will be glad when the playoff schedule comes out. Need to see what game to attend

Mike I agree 100% about your assessment of the caliber of the 4 regions.

As far as the Glass-Heritage game goes, I was at that game and Heritage probably played their worst game of the year that night. Heritage gave up a KR for a TD, had 2 bad punt snaps that gave Glass the ball inside the 20 and the 5, and lost a fumble. Even with all of that Glass was only able to score 1 offensive TD and that was on the possession that started inside the Heritage 5.

As for Heritage-Brookville, I don't have any insight on that.

Essex 14 Westmoreland 7 Halftime

Essex went up 8-0, only to have the Eagles march down the field. However, Westmoreland turned it over on downs at the Essex 10. Essex then fumbled it at their own 6, and Westmoreland recovered. The very next play, Westmoreland fumbled it back. Essex goes on a 93 yard drive to go up 14-0, but Westmoreland responded by returning the kickoff for a TD. Westmoreland gets the ball to start the 2nd half.
