I think both Tj and Kettle Run are better than them this year but they have a better chance schematically to beat Tj.Maybe with a few injuries they have but your reasons? . I assume you’ve seen all the contenders.
If Hayfield's coaching staff is dumb enough to try and run up the score with everything that is surrounding this, I would let them try. The last thing they should be trying to do with this controversy is make it worse and bring more attention to it.If you are the Edison coach, at what point do you start taking endless delay of game penalties? 30, 40, 80?
It took me all week to think about these games. I went with heart on a few and took a couple of gambles. I’m either gonna look really good Saturday afternoon or like a bigggg dummy 🤪Thanks @mike salem. Couldn't make up my mind.![]()
Safe travels my guy. This Salem/GW game definetly wont be easy for either team. Salem is gonna have to get enough stops to hang in the game. GW will score. Too good of an offense. Looking forward to seeing this game in person. I’ll be driving down to Danville tommorow
If you are the Edison coach, at what point do you start taking endless delay of game penalties? 30, 40, 80?...so what is the over/under on Hayfield putting triple digits up tonite against Edison? My opinion is better than 50/50 if Edison doesn't use the running clock delay of game strategy.
A Mount Vernon parent representative said they stand in solidarity with the other schools and were prepared to boycott.SO the 6 coaches of the other 6C teams (Mt Vernon abstained I guess) have done the right thing and decided to play. Thus making them the first adults to do what is best for their kids in this whole fiasco. Many folks should be updating resume's at this point.
If my memory is correct, it's up to each school to collect the transfer info & determine eligibility. Then, if it's found out to be false, it's up to each school district to sanction that school? VHSL seems only to recommend the sanctions? For Ocean Lakes, I believe VB School admin sanctioned Chris Scott. Not sure the VHSL got involved at all. But, I was surprised that their 2014 title wasn't forfeited. Hat it been back then, I don't think things would have gotten to this point? It is very strange that the Superintendent said the VHSL approved all their players before the season. That is not how eligibility lists are usually drawn up. I find it hard to believe the VHSL personally approved all their players before the season. She also leaves out a lot of things the judge said in the ruling.
All facts bro! I’m going with Huguenot even though I picked Varina to win the ship in the Pick ‘Em.You know you and I have been the only ones willing to stand on this "hill" these past three or four years regarding the Falcons and what they would end up being. I don't have a dog in the fight but I am shocked how dismissive people are over what Huguenot has accomplished. Anyways, I have said my piece, I won't make it to this one, any idea if this will be shown anywhere on the net or at least the radio?
You're right that there are feelings involved. Not hurt feelings as much as the long held feelings that accountability, responsibility and oversight are integral parts for leadership positions be they board or senior management roles.Actually, all of that sounds like your feelings. School boards hire and fire good and bad Superintendent all the time. This woman wasn't convicted of a crime or anything. I am anti-Hayfield in general, but blaming the school board with legal criminality seems misplaced.

@mbonape1 Huguenot lost by a missed PAT last year, I don’t know where these blowout scores are coming from. I believe Varina was way more talented last year and Huguenot was very young. Huguenot lost to Cosby and got blown out by Manchester. They’ve
decimated all the good teams they played..
I'm glad I just scrolled through this thread again. Just purchased my ticket! See you all Saturday!I’ll check tomorrow with the AD, but that is probably not accurate. If memory serves me correctly, we have about 4000 seats. (Now mind you, that’s based on the average size butt in the 70’s.)
We had just shy of 3000 paid attendance at the Matoaca game and another 1000 would have about filled the place up.
I doubted that it would be an unusually large crowd, but then I started hearing about the interest of people that have not been to a game all year. So maybe it will be packed?
I’ll tell everyone this though, get there early. The traffic gets so congested on Courthouse Road that you can spend an hour getting into the parking lot if you arrive only 30 to 45 minutes before game time.
