Any thoughts on Dinwiddie @ Maury?

@BoKnowsSports, I have too much respect for the Salem program to even engage in this type of negative stupidity @Touchdown-tony is spitting out. The people of DINWIDDIE are rock solid, humble, hard working folks, and not once this season has any member of Navy Nation even remotely indicated the Generals were going to beat anybody especially Maury. It seems as if the consistency of the Dinwiddie, Phoebus, and Region B programs seem to rub some the wrong way. One can easily check the records. I think you will find that Dinwiddie, Phoebus, and many other schools played up for years and still competed for titles. Don't think for minute that Coach Mills and the generals are scared/intimidated by the likes of LCA, Fleming, and Salem.
Very well said my friend!

Shenandoah Teams Have One Final Week of Non-District Action

I think the East Rock/Gap game is a pick'em. East Rock has got a solid defense and if they can muck it up they can definitely win. I predict a low-scoring bout.

Fort should beat Broadway but wouldn't be surprised if the Gobblers hang around a little bit after a big confidence boost game last week.

Rocktown can throw the rock a little, not like Fort can but they may be able to get a couple scores on Big Red. They won't be able to stop them though so Riverheads should put it away in the second half.

Staunton rolls.

Draft should beat Luray big.

TA will smoke Waynesboro. The biggest game for the Giants will be next week with Gap as longtimer said.

Wilson will beat Western by a good margin.

Any thoughts on Dinwiddie @ Maury?

Didn’t widdie beat Salem twice 2017 and 2018? One of those years Salem went on to win states?

Any given Friday night anything can happen. I’m sure Maury will know they are in a game.
We should’ve beat em @ William & Mary 💔💔💔 they converted 3 4th downs in a row & took 6 minutes off the clock 😔. If only Louisa didn’t confuse us the First half of the 4B Championship we would’ve got revenge in 2017 😭

Pretty sure that @longtimerhsfan has the most thorough breakdowns on these boards for a district. I will only add my spin in a few areas with all due respect to what has been written by the Jedi master.

ER @ Gap- Gap is better than expected so far this year so congrats on that. ER hasn't shown themselves to be a pushover but with margins against Luray fresh in everyone's mind, the Bison win this one convincingly.

Broadway @ Fort- I cant imagine Broadway being in this game. They were shut out by Strasburg and with all due respect to the Rams, I dont see them as Bull Run frontrunners (contenders but not leading the charge for any of the BR guys that might get offended). Fort with their three headed monster in place is pretty good dang offensively. Defensively they played a very good game against Riverheads last week but there are some areas where a team could make some plays but its going to be tough sledding overall for anyone if they continue playing like this. Fort should win going away in this one if there is no emotional letdown, especially at home.

Riverheads @ Rocktown- Riverheads got down against Fort and never could get a defensive stop. I dont recall that happening very much in the recent past but for me there were lots of positives in that loss as well. Rocktown is basically unknown to most of us but should have some talent on the field.

Staunton @ James River- Not a lot to say here other than the Storm should roll with this one unless the unforced errors become an issue.

Draft @ Luray- I would have to imagine the Cougars are better than Gap so Draft big.

TA @ Waynesboro- TA should be a legit 3C contender so this is a name your score game for them.

Western Albemarle @ Wilson- And the beat goes on in Fishersville. This team is ahead of where most people had them this year. I am a fan of what they are doing with this group. If they are what I think they can be, this game will be a larger margin win for the Hornets.

Good luck to everyone this week and safe travels to you all.

Any thoughts on Dinwiddie @ Maury?

LCA AND WILLIAM FLEMING have not been dominant for years. If I recall Fleming had some good teams in the past and LCA only has won one football championship that was last year. No were the run Dinwiddie was established. And Dinwiddie doesn't recruit players such as Private schools like LCA. DINWIDDIE has homegrown players. 804.

No one talks about Class 3

Richmond currently is and always has been loaded with talent. Coaches just have to recruit their own schools and sell the kids on staying away from the negativity. @BoKnowsSports is spot on about the coaches. The kids today are hard, but the still crave structure and genuine love. If the kids know you believe in them and stick around they will buy in. Huge praise to all of the football programs of RVA.

Week 4 Pick'em

1 point per pick, GOTW worth 2. Picks are due by Friday @ 7pm. If games are Thursday, it is your responsibility to pick game b4 game time. If games are earlier than Thursday the game will not count. No score predictions needed.

Brunswick @ Nottoway
King William @ Caroline
Fluvanna Co @ Buckingham Co
Patrick Co @ Chatham
Dan River @ Martinsville
Grayson Co. @ Floyd Co.
Radford @ Galax
George Wythe @ Carroll Co

GOTW
Graham @ Union

Week 3 Thoughts!!!

Still early in the season but there are some surprises good & bad in 1A Football

The biggest surprise of 1A is the fact that defending State Champs Galax is now 0-3 and has only scored 7 points this season. They have Radford up next which could potentially put them at 0-4....Not saying they are any danger as far as playoffs but they certainly look like they may be on the ropes. Any reason for their struggle?

Rye Cove moves to 3-0 & seems to be the new player when it comes to State Championship contender.

Northumberland is off to a 3-0 and has been flying under the radar but they still have that QB so he will give them a shot vs anyone. They will face a stingy Bruton team who has yet to give up any points in 3 games.

Rappahannock is also another team that has been flying under the radar who looks to make a name for themselves at 3-0. They held a Westmoreland team to 7 points which is impressive considering the 3 star WR Westmoreland has on their roster. They face a Nelson County team who also is 3-0, this could be their 1st real test.

After losing to Essex in the opening game of the season, Sussex has won 2 in row. Looks like they have turned things around but the only question is, will they be able to handle Altavista come playoff time.

George Wythe has dropped 2 in a row with Carroll County on the clock. They are sitting at 1-2 and staring 1-3 right in the face, some of their fans are not worried while others are worried about potential homefield when it comes to playoffs. They certainly will be battletested by the end of the season but will this brutal schedule leave them limping into the playoffs?

Essex & Altavista who imo are the top teams to win the 1A championship this year both had a bye week. Essex is at home this week vs Franklin while Altavista has Prince Edwards. I expect both teams to make quick work of their opponents in a blow out fashion.
