LCA - 20 Salem - 14 3rd Quarter

LCA - 35 Salem - 21 FINAL

LCA is REALLY good this year, just as everyone expected. In a lot of ways they are even better than last year's team. They are just going to run over teams up front... just did that to Salem and that is one of the best fronts they will face all year.

Obviously they have some really key guys that need to stay healthy but if they do, their games are going to just be ugly before halftime. The new QB also made some really nice clutch plays and that is something I wasn't expecting.

Salem will be fine the rest of the year. I think everyone knows the type of talent they lost from last year's team but I still like this group. QB Eli Taylor played a nice game throwing and some scrambles and Persinger and Logan had great games as well. They were able to run the ball surprising well at times against a VERY good front and I thought the OL played pretty well in the run game and in pass protection.

Update: LCA - 35 Salem - 21

Salem had another good chance for a stop as LCA had third-and 10. Both defensive tackles had free shots at tackles for loss on LCA's back-up running back but he broke both of them and picked up the first and then LCA scored right after.

Salem responds with a long kick-off for TD from Josiah Persinger. He really showed off some insane speed on this one.

35-21 Final. Salem defensive front 7 got beat badly. Offense not bad , but still one dimensional

Blog LIVE Game Blog: Poquoson 21, Lake Taylor 6 - FINAL

After a lengthy delay to figure out who used the time-out and what yard line the ball was on (or something like that... maybe where the refs are eating for dinner), we resume play. Promus Royal just misses a wide open Jayden Yancey, who would've gone the distance for an 87-yard TD pass.

Brayden Agnese drops Royal for a loss of 2 on a sack. Lake Taylor uses a time-out, which we believe leaves them with just one remaining and 1:51 showing on the clock.

Barring some late-game heroics, the Bull Islanders are closing in on a very nice road win.

Cam Stowers makes a pass breakup on 3rd & 12 so this is the game with 1:44 to go and the Titans facing 4th & 12 from their own 11.
