Honaker is really really good. They probably would've competed for the 2A title this season. Boyd and McNulty are a deadly duo. I would bet the farm that Honaker wins this game. Now saying that, watch the big Red come down here and get a chip. Lol.

Girls 2A Championship: Luray 61 Gate City 56 Final

Gate City loses Sarah Thompson, which is a huge loss for them. If I had to put money on it, I think you'll see Wise Central back in this spot next year, so probably Wise Central and Luray if I was a betting man.

Girls 2A Championship: Luray 61 Gate City 56 Final

The M7 stranglehold on the girls 2A championship is over. I was wrong and @pizzzzza was correct. Good call buddy. Congratulations to the Lady Dawgs.

This... we've had to travel 10 hours round trip to Richmond for years and not whined about it. Not going to hurt the East to travel to the far west of the state for once. Get over it.

    2A Girls Outlook

Region 2D girls got underway tonight. Ridgeview and defending state champion Gate City both looked impressive winning their quarterfinals tonight by 50 and 41 points respectively. Any idea yet on fan attendance?

Until King Ralphie makes any other proclamations, it's going to be a limit of 25 counting cheerleaders I believe. Unless there is a different rule for outdoor events.

VHSL Hoops Top Tens - First Edition for 2020-21

You are probably correct, though the Wolfpack are flying under the radar at the moment.

    What would have been.....

Yep Tennessee just finished a full 15 week season. Sure there were disruptions and games cancelled along the way, but for the most part, the games got played. Yeah, Northam isn't going to let sports happen in Virginia. I'd be shocked.

    2020-21 Winter Sports

With emperor Ralphie's announcement yesterday, I doubt anyone will be playing winter sports at this point.

    Out of district rivalry games...

Not really a rivalry game, but I will miss Ridgeview playing perennial state champion contender Pikeville out of Kentucky.

Will you attend high school football in another state this fall?

Dobyns-Bennett won 42-35 Friday night in a shootout over Cleveland. D-B hosts number 4 ranked McMinn County Friday night in the sweet 16.

Will you attend high school football in another state this fall?

The playoffs begin tonight over on the Tennessee side. The team I have been following over there, the Dobyns-Bennett Indians are the number 1 seed out of Region 1, Class 6A and face the number 4 seed out of Region 2 Cleveland tonight in Kingsport. But of course, the winner of our little 8 team...
