(final order a tad different but this rating is based on the point system that does not take into account strength of schedule - you get the same points for a 1A win over a 2 win 1A team as compared to a 12 win 1A team and so on)

As far as the West is concerned...Galax is down and that is the only really competitive team. Auburn is shocklingly organized, so they could maybe pull one upset (They did beat Radford twice). However, they will pose no real threat at a final four birth.

(As the West appears to be quite down this season, it could very well be an All East Final, so the winners of the East semis, may go all the way)

1 Mathews over 8th Luray 11-1 (don't be too amazed, any Neck or Tidewater team would win that game)

2 Rappahannock over 7th ARGS 7-1 (Congrats to the Raiders who won the Conference 43 regular season and Tourney, Rapp is playing some great soccer, I expect them to make it!)

3 West Point over 6th Riverheads 3-1 (Great job to WP defeating the defending State Champs Riverheads, who were no where near same team as last year without superstar (Kasak) who graduated last season.)

4 Northampton defeated 5th Essex 4-0 (longtime excellent Coach Gorman and his program are looking good...)

Heard both games were monster battles.

Rappahannock (NND) and Northampton (Eastern Shore) both advance to states. Congrats. One of them will most likely win it all...

Yeah. I don't see Radford being much of a threat. If Galax makes the final, I doubt they have anything left in the tank.

Im surprised Northhampton beat Mathews. WOW. The NHS kids must have neutralized their big kid- Anderson. Congrats to that young man who finishes up an impressive athletic career at Mathews. Good luck next year at Norfolk St where i hear he'll play football.

Rappahannock (NND) won the 1A East Region Soccer Title over Northampton in Warsaw (their 1st one)

0-0, no score after 4 OTs

Rapp won 5-3 in the PK shootout (NHS missed the 4th shot, Rapp's White put it away on the next one)

At Radford Unversity-
