1a Game of The Week

Well I just went back and edited my post. I say for at least Region A. An early look at 2 good playoff teams for the region also will have an effect on Region A rankings as well come playoff time

West Point will knock off Colonial Beach this week.

Essex will lose as well

Northumberland vs Christ Church will be a decent game. I'd give the edge to Christ Church but NHS has a shot.

Christchurch may keep it close for a quarter....then Northumberland unloads...Air Raid style.

The Indians are about to beat the bricks off last year's private school champs.

If wrong, I will admit. Same as Essex - just hold the line long enough to give Adams time - TDs all day.

U are right on with this prediction. WP by 3tds & Thomas Jefferson by 2tds & Christ Church by 10 points or less

You may be right but I don't think either team will blow out the other.

West Point wins by 2 tds in a close 1st half but don’t sleep on the drifters won’t be surprise if they get this W. I think some how Essex pulls of the win Friday 26-21. Northumberland wins by 3tds to much skill for Christ Church to contain 35-14.

West Point is good - but if y'all are that confident that they will win, CB is not that strong then. This would suggest that Franklin is not as powerful as some were saying (especially as Essex was in complete disarray at the time).

As I posted earlier, I have seen Frankin and NHS should beat them (imo).

Looking better and better....

I also have a feeling Essex will win this weekend, if not, then they really are having a way down year.

Last year's entire strategy by Essex was to contain NHS star Palmer. They did it perfectly and won big.

Since all NHS has is Palmer according to everyone but Indian fans, Christchurch and Essex and Rapp and all should just focus on stopping the big star, go ahead and try to shut him down....I guess NHS will have no chance to win with Palmer contained by all of our opponent's resources. Oh well.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Franklin must not be as good as advertised

I agree unless Christ Church have improved a lot since thier Rapp scrimmage, they will lose by 3 TDs at least. I don’t see them stopping Northumberland

Rapp will beat the monkey nuts off of Northumberland. Northumberland

Everyone is hanging onto Essex of past but this team is not one of those teams. Essex is one dimensional and their defensive LB's and DB's are below avg.

CB vs WP boils down to who can run the ball more effective which I think WP will do. Why are people acting like WP sucks? They demolished a Northampton team that NHS is only up 14-0 at halftime. No1 else seems to notice that this one poster has an excuse for every NHS mishap? Like I said one time. OVERRATED & OVERHYPED

Northumberland O-line isn't good. Christ Church will dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Christ Church should avg 8 yards per attempt in rushing yards.

"Rapp will beat the monkey nuts off of Northumberland.

"Northumberland is OVERRATED & & OVERHYPED"

lol - coming from a Rapp Football fan - who has been destroyed by Northumberland the last two years in a row - about to be three.

Don't worry you still got softball and soccer to look forward to - y'all are real good at that.

As a Rapp fan myself the last 2yrs have nothing to do with this year. Uvacavs1, you do tend to exaggerate NHS. Example:You stated the new qb didnt throw a bad ball all night but he did throw an interception early in the game. NHS has some talent but I really dont see them blowing Rapp out if they are healthy

Northumberland will O-line cost them three to four games this year BRO. Christ Church, Essex, Maybe W&L, & Rapp

CB will need to stop the WP run game in order to beat WP. WP has 3 very good RBs. #44 has 430 yards rushing in just two games, 8.4 ypc (199 vs Northampton and 231 vs Rapp). #23 and #4 average 7.7 and 7.2 ypc after 3 games. Rapp is the best team WP has played to date and #44 put up 231 yards on them. If CB tries to stop #44, then #23 or #4 can run the ball. I expect CB to be a better team than Rapp and CB always plays WP hard--I never underestimate CB. IMO, the deciding factor will be If WP's O line blocks well or not. If they block well, CB will not stop WP's rushing game.

The last two years have a lot to do with this year imo (unless you have all new players and a different coach). The only difference is Rapp is better than they were last year and NHS is is way better than they were.

I did not say the new QB did not throw a bad pass that was another poster. I said he was the real deal. He threw about 3 or 4 more TDs that didn't count. He had a 78% completion rate in his 1st game after only a few practices. Just wait till he develops some chemistry.

I have no doubt he will be one of if not the best QB in our level. Name another. This is Group A football - I remember the days not that long ago when no one even passed more than 3 times a game.

Let's look back on these posts after the season. I will admit it if I get wrong...but I doubt I will be. There is a reason I am over confident, last year I was hopeful.

I do hope Rapp comes in second, but I doubt that too, not sure if they can beat Essex.

If you give Rapp #12 time to throw the ball, Rapp is capable of beating anyone in the NND with just their passing game.

My bad for misquoting you....

As far as last year, Rapp had several players out for the Northumberland game. Thats all I'll say about that lol

Hey I'll admit it I'm the one who posted he didn't throw a bad ball, I stand by it too. On that pass the receiver over ran the ball it was a good pass. Adams was 7 for 9 with 169 yards passing.
As for the oline have any of you saying that Northumberland's line is bad actually seen it this year. Or are you all assuming the loss of two big seniors are going to make it bad? Because northumberland starts three strong seniors at left tackle, right and left guard. Another returning under center, left tackle is the only spot that needed to be filled.

I hope it is an exciting game between NHS and Rapp - it will be I am sure as both teams want to prove themselves.

I do love how confident Rapp is about playing Essex. I guess the last 20 years of getting beat by over 30 points (about the average- and Essex often stopped trying to score after halftime) does not intimidate Rapp folks. Good for y'all.

Essex has been whipping Northumberland too and we know it. So we are a tad bit more cautious and respectful of Essex's success.

I actually think that the Northumberland O line will be better than the last couple years. Good coaching there!

A team loses games to two good teams and everybody in the district thinks this is their year lol

It seems every year Rapp fans think Essex is down this year (evidently some people do not realize there is no better guide to the future than the past - many men do not learn from the lessons of history and that is the greatest history lesson of all....).

Every year Essex beats Rapp by 30 to 50 points.

Again, no Northumberland fans have ever said that they will beat Essex this year. Essex should be heavily favored. As everyone says, NHS is just a one trick pony. Worry about those Raiders...

Awww, @uvacavs1 needs his Essex folks to back him up. Essex has a right to feel like king but NHS as history would say (going on the last 20yrs) is gonna get throttled by Rapp. @uvacavs1 might cry when NHS lose.
And now Essex folks are saying Franklin & King William are good teams but were saying before the season they wouldnt get challenged until they play Riverheads. My have their tune has changed.

lol. Nope there will be no crying - and as always - I will not get on here and say I told you so (I never do) but you will know and that is good enough for me. If I am wrong I will say congrats.

I have expected NHS to go 8-2 since before the season began.

Now I fully expect a 9-1 finish by Northumberland. A victory over Essex would just be a bonus....

I have fully turned Indian, but I bled purple and gold for almost two decades so hard to shake.
