Just making my ritual check-in before the Richlands/Belfry scrimmage
Should be awesome competition. Followed you guys last year and was pulling for you to take home the title and even listened to the 2nd Half of the Appomattox game.
Belfry returns 9 starters each way and has 4 kids with a D-1 offer in the Senior class. Trying to get healthy right now..lots of minor injuries.. but expect both teams to benefit. Belfry needs a good spread team to challenge their LB's in space.

We always look forward to playing you guys before the season starts. It's always a very good judge of where the programs are at. Along with Richlands and Belfry this year are Pulaski (9-1 regular season last year) and George Wythe (single A top 5 team), so the level of talent that will be there is good for all teams!
I am kind of hoping Belfry and Richlands can work out a two year contract to play in the regular season starting next year.
Getting hard to find teams to play... had a team back out of the District at the last second this year. Belfry had to pick up a team from Cleveland, OH just to fill their tenth game.

Yeah. They'll do 40 in on each side. Last year it was set up 10 offensive plays, 10 defensive, then repeat. So your first team gets 20 reps of offense and defense before games switch. I think it was free last year. I'll find out for you.
yall just to put in that INT at mid-field didnt ay. My son still beats himself up over that play.
Of course I would put that into it. It was a nice play by our D lol.
ryan u going to LU vs VT? 1st game of season? im conflicted though. im 2x grad of LU but grew up as fan of VT. im neutral on this one. MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN.

For those going here are the key players for Belfry to watch:
OL Cole Bentley (will play TE and DT)- Committed to Louisville.4 Year Starter. 6'5 300.

Bentley is simply put "nasty". Very physical and strong like an ox. On Offense he seals the edge and on Defense he clogs the middle.
OL Austin Dotson (Will play OT)- Committed to Kentucky. 3 Year Starter. 6'7 310

Dotson is simply a freak of nature for his size. To big as big as he is he runs like a 6'7 235 TE. Tremendous upside.
DL RayQuan Horton (Will play DT and some as an extra TE)- Un-committed. 4 Year Starter. 6'1 310

Simply put the kid is a special HS player. He has numerous D-1 offers but no Power 5 offers and anyone that has watched him is surprised by this. Was unanimous All-State 1st Team last year and is truly one of those special kids you want to watch.
OL Jordan Scott (Will play OG)- Un-Committed. 3 Year Starter. 6'2 305.

Scott has a D1 offer but has been overshadowed by the two monsters going to Power 5 Schools. One of the best OG's to ever play for Belfry, he is consistent and physical and relentless.
CB Devin Varney- Was All-State 2nd Team as a Sophomore. Supposedly grew a couple inches. Will be lots of fun seeing him match up with Richlands' excellent receivers.
QB Noah Corbett- Same QB as last year. He really grew last season on the field and runs the option very well.
FB Andrew Fletcher- Took 2/3 of the carries at FB last year and was the 3A Final MVP.
Belfry will be without their special Junior LB/FB Derek Wellman and I am not sure their All-State K Austin Woolum will be playing. Woolum also plays CB and SE. Belfry has had a lot of minor injuries, especially on Defense, so there may be more that won't be putting the pads on.

Are you going to the VCU/LU basketball game this year at Liberty? Sunday November 13.. I can't wait!
If I don't meet you before that, I'll see you then! I'll be the crazy, loud VCU fan there lol.. Should be a great game. We should be ranked if we get the kid from Nebraska (Andrew White III) to transfer for his 5th year. LU will have a nice squad this year.
LU gonna start having good squads due to coach we got from UVA. his 1st yr was last yr.
Never know. We went to George Mason last year and laid an egg lol I hope we don't against you guys, but you never know. Should've beaten Mason by at least 30, they messed around and beat us by 10 lol!
However, VCU has never lost a football game.

Sorry, I went to JMU. You know, Just Missed UVA? Ain't no way the Tide will ever lose to JMU!! I think their luck was used up when they beat Tech that one time.....
My apologies Clark and Im not sure! JMU has the best football program in VA right now if you ask me, well along with the University of Henrico lol.. I really hope JMU will become a FBS. As much as I hate all the schools in VA, I really like and think a lot of JMU and Liberty!
