2A Girls Rankings

I know that a lot of people are not fans of Max Preps, but at least it gives you an idea of teams' records (assuming they are correct) - honestly, I don't see any other place that would give you girls 2A rankings:

Luray Bulldogs (18-1, 10-1 Bull Run District) host Strasburg (19-0, 11-0) in a matchup of the top 2 teams in Region 2B tonight.
The Rams handed Luray its only loss on Jan. 10, just 0.19 point separated the two teams in the latest region rankings.

With Wise Central being out of the hunt, it's wide open.
But the M7 could still bring home gold, GC, Ridgeview and even Union are very good teams that could get hot and win it all.

Haven't kept up with basketball near as much this season, but good lord, what has happened at East Rock? They're 1-17???
I always look for the state winner out of that district year in year out.
Yes it's strange with Wise Central not being in the hunt!
KW is a very fundamentally sound team. They have two players inside who are 6'3 and 6'1, who are only sophomores. They also have a good point guard as well. Max Preps doesn't even have their best win listed, which was a win over 5A North Stafford, who at the time that the game was played was 9-0.
Union has to beat Ridgeview first... something they haven't done yet in 13 attempts.
I have said it a couple of times this year... until they're out, I ain't counting them out. Lol. Dotson is just that good a coach. They will still be a Region D team as the fourth seed from the M7. They could very well beat Lebanon (Southwest number 1) in the first round. The Region D semifinals should be a Mountain 7 shootout.

Sometimes you can't go by the records, especially with stiff competition.
Everyone knows that district is probably the toughest girls district in the state.
Traditionally no. They were pretty solid last year though. Several of the girls play on really good AAU squads and the 2 sophomores inside are extremely good. The 6'3 girl had offers starting to come in last year and she's had some lower level D1 schools already contact her. But they play really well as a team and from what I can tell, they all get along very well. They are an Eastern team, but their style of play is very similar to many of the Western schools. They move the ball around well, play as a team, not much one on one, and play solid defense.
Strasburg has two girls 6'4 and 6'3 one full ride to a small school in Kentucky other going to Bridgewater I believe.
I actually really like Maxpreps if you can get over the whole inaccurate information thing. I really like seeing those rankings, even if a couple of teams have false games on their schedule. Strength of schedule is very interesting to see on there.
