As many predicted, John Marshall and Norcom are the top dogs. Northside is again a very strong team, even after losing Kendrick Tucker last year. Conference 29 will be fun to watch, with Western Albemarle and Spotswood in there. I believe Western will reign supreme this year however. Ryan Ingram is a heck of a player, and when Chris McGahren returns they will be a force to be reckoned with. George Wythe is back after a year away. Armstrong is not a team to be left out. Heritage-Lynchburg and Cave Spring are having strong years again as well. William Monroe is 12-2, but their strength of schedule is very low. I don't see them making noise. Hopewell as fallen far since their state title appearance last year. Alleghany has some quality wins. As does Hidden Valley. Phoebus does not have a great record, but their strength of schedule should help them down the road. Thomas Jefferson has the talent to beat almost any team some nights. Culpeper County is 6-10, but they beat Eastern View, and could cause trouble come playoff time.
