I'm going with Highland Springs. Stone Bridge should put up a fight since they're so well-coached. I'm taking the Springers.

I've been saying all year, "this is the year for Highland Springs". Well, here we are, where nobody figured we'd be. On the cusp of what everyone wants. One more win and we've got this thing.
My prediction:
HSHS 49
SB 35

HSHS will roll big in Scott Stadium on Saturday 49-20 will be the final.. Stone Bridge can not matchup at all with the talent of the springers offense and the defense of the Springers will be physical enough to slow that single wing down. HSHS goes up big and early to force Stone Bridge to have to throw.

I can see a lot of you guys have plenty of confidence in Highland Springs. It does seem to be their year, it looks like they have had a great season and I can see why they are the favorite. But I do think Stone Bridge is a dangerous match-up for Highland Springs. I was at that Massaponax game, the fact that Stone Bridge was able to come back after being down 34-14 in the second half only to erupt for 36 more points to beat Massaponax just goes to show how dangerous they are offensively and their refusal to quit. No matter how physical Highland Springs may be on defense, when I look at the 34 points they gave up to Lee-Davis and the 35 points to Hermitage, it looks like they are certainly not immune to giving up some points to a good offense.

The most important thing for Stone Bridge is to take care of the ball and avoid turnovers. They have to take advantage of every opportunity that they have with the ball, since Highland Springs will likely score often in this game. For every turnover that they commit, I think their chances of winning go down significantly since they rely on their offense more so than their defense that has given up a lot of points on the year. Against Massaponax, they put the ball on the ground on the opening kickoff setting up Massaponax with excellent field position. Just can't make too many mistakes like that against a tough team like Highland Springs. If they take care of the ball and find ways to execute their trickery against Highland Springs, I think it could turn out to be a good game. Might be a high-scoring shootout, but hopefully a good game.

Have not seen Highland Springs but even with all of that said, it sounds like they are a legit team and I will go with the team that has played better defense on the year.

Highland Springs 45
Stone Bridge 31

I don't think the Springers can take Stone Bridge lightly, and I don't think they will considering how long they've waited for this opportunity. Springers by 2 or 3 scores.

Highland Springs will have to play all 4 quarters Saturday regardless of what SB's record might be. The last 2 games they have taken off a quarter and a half and seamed to have lost their momentum at the time. They do have 2 great WR's and a very good QB which if anyone knows High School football means 2 great CB's on the D side. Should be a interesting match up as I have not seen SB play in a couple of years. I think they run the single wing if I remember correctly. At least HS wont have to deal with Jonathan Allen ( #93 for the Univ of Roll Tide) and Rob Burns (Stanford QB). Good luck Springer 76 as they have the best team I've ever seen from 9 mile rd. Highland Springs 34 Stone Bridge 29

Stone Bridge offense can be very deceptive in the way they attack defenses!!! HSHS had given up a lot of points in the Lee Davis and Hermitage game. Lee Davis special teams played exceptional which helped them alot and Hermitage coverted 8 4th downs in the second half of that game. Last week against Indian River the defense came back to life and shut them down. Stone Bridge will have to score a lot to beat HSHS and that's not going to happen. #4 and #5 will shut down the Stone Bridge Passing attack and this week watch D.J. Anderson erupted for 200 yards to finish off his high school career. HSHS will win big

Lee Davis plays us every year and twice this year. We whipped them soundly the 1st time and the 2nd time, they had answers and they came to play. They have a real good team. Very balanced offense. Good QB, Receivers and a big strong RB. We did stay 2 td ahead of them the whole game, until the very end.
Hermitage...This was the toughest and will remain the toughest team we've played (including Stone Bridge). They too have a very balanced offense, but with a defense that is second to none! HS still put up 42 points on that defense!
Indian River... very good team. They couldn't get their offense going, because HSHS PLAYS DEFENSE pretty good too! At times it looked like they may slow The Springers' offense down, but they really didn't. Just too many weapons all over the field.
Stone Bridge has a very good team, no doubt! I don't think they could beat Hermitage. IR and LD would give them a great game. I think this Saturday will be a good game, but the Springer defense will slow the Bulldogs Single Wing down and the Springer offense IMO, will be too much for them in the end.

Stone Bridge has been snake bitten in the finals. Lack of scoring, poor special teams play and turnovers have killed the Bulldogs. The scoring problem must be corrected. I would like to see SBB break out of this 1-4 slump. They have put some great teams into the championship that just didn't show how great they were. They have had great staying power. They just have to get it done when they are facing a team of equal talent. With that said the Bulldogs were inconsistent this year while the Springers were kicking ash. My call is Springers 28-14. Good luck to Stone Bridge.

I like Highland Springs in this game 37-17.. Stone bridge is always a formidable opponent with a deceptive offense, and they're normally pretty physical Defense.

The Springers are normally known for having a ton of athletes and being a little more finesse on Defense. This year, they are quite different in Defense and have a physical tenacity about them that is Championship quality.

Congratulations to Highland Springs. Well played in the 2nd half. As a SB fan I was hoping for a 2nd title.

Highland Springs was too big and too fast for Stone Bridge. HS also has too much talent. I am wondering if Oscar Smith or Westfield can beat HS.

I doubt.. D5 IMO reigns supreme... HS has way too much speed for Westfields. Plus they are just as big if not bigger.. Fast and physical.. etc.. HS is a complete team.
