I think the higher seeds win in every game except the Louisa vs. Midlothian game. I have Louisa winning big.. The Bird vs. Hermitage game intrigues me. @BoKnowsSports do you think Hermitage can win?
Bird didn’t impress me at all when I saw them play Huguenot. I think Bird is way more coached up than Herm and I give them the edge. You just never know what you’re getting with Herm. Thought they played scared against Varina and Highland Springs. Definitely got the athletes to compete with anyone in this region.

The weak schedule of Louisa has bit them since the jump to 5. Midlothian has had to grind its season out. I think it continues.

I know it does not matter but still I feel some kinda way about the #1 seed not playing anybody in the region that matters.

They should get some 5 or 6 teams on the schedule from Richmond or dip into the Commonwealth like the Battlefield has been doing.
Watching them play some of the Commonwealth teams in the non-district would be fun.

They shouldn't have any issues getting games against Brooke Point, North Stafford, or even Riverbend. Probably not Colonial Forge and Mountain View as seem to play mostly Prince William and Fairfax County schools in the non-district.

I know they like playing Massaponax, but they are down and I don't think playing them will help.

Shoot bring Louisa back to the Battlefield
Bring Orange as well and that is a stout ten team district for the most part. Everyone would have to get better and would be better battle tested for the playoffs. All you have to do then is go out and schedule one crazy hard non-district game (preferably a Class 5 or 6 team) to help you get better.

As a Peninsula District alumnus, I'd recommend against a 10 district team. That 1 non-district game is for the birds. Having the flexibility to play 2-4 OOD games is a blessing. It allows you to play a variety of teams from different regions in the state. The poor Beach District doesn't see OOD unless it's scrimmages or playoffs and you've seen their success rate in the playoffs (or lack thereof).
