I love to see preseason polls, to see other people's opinions. But polls are polls still have to get the job done on the field. I see were Hopewell plays Highland springs and TJ this year and also Mecklenburg County again which was much improved. Tough schedule.

Varina has all the transfers on the East End. HS will be good but I don’t think they’re on Dinwiddie’s level…

What about Louisa? Louisa is 804 area code.

We return the entire defense , offensively we’re gonna miss 6 for sure but one monkey don’t stop no show this train gone keep on rolling 🥳
If the parts all come together, the Generals will be significantly stronger and more complete than last season. Harry will be missed and he is irreplaceable for what he brought to the team. But, Dinwiddie is not and never has been a one pony show.

Man I would have swore Louisa was in the 434. I had to go check. Did not realize, roanoke and Louisa were in the 540 together. Surprised the 540 area code isn't bursting at the seams. That is a large area it covers with a fairly decent amount of people on that exchange.

I googled yesterday and a site I looked at said Louisa is 804, that's why I asked. A few years ago a new area code was added for the 540 area. We have to dial the area code now when calling another 540 number because exchanges (3 digit first number) are duplicated in both 540 and the newer area code.

Some parts of Louisa is 804, but the school’s address is 540. Louisa is more Charlottesville/Richmond than Fredericksburg in my opinion.

This an insane statement man. You know good and well actual programs ain't 1 man bands.

Is it really insane?? Just being honest the past 2 years Dinwiddie success 100% depended on Dalton. May be hard for you to see it because you are a fan of the program and know the team deeper.

Over the recent years, Louisa often gets included in conversations about Richmond area football. I guess that is because they have played teams in the Richmond area more. Sometimes because of regular season scheduling, and some because of the playoffs. Even most of the various media polls in the Richmond market have included them in their rankings. I guess it all started back in 2013 with the restructuring of the Class format and has slowly evolved from there.

Their whole team from last year is headed to USC in a couple weeks...but you know more than me. The buzz has been heavy about Springs and Varina down here though
Feel like a program like Dinwiddie doesn’t need an D1 power 5 All star to be at the top of the pack.

I know Salem has won a few of their rings with mostly kids who will only ever be great high school football players. Maybe a few D2 levels at most

Essex? I know they are area code 804 but I think we got to be careful when you go by area code because 804 encompasses a large area. I know WTVR6 gives Essex love come playoff time but Essex is never really covered by the local media, myself included.

This is a very rough draft of a Top 10...

Varina
Huguenot
Highland Springs
Dinwiddie
Matoaca
Glen Allen
LC Bird
Thomas Jefferson
Hermitage
Powhatan

King William is covered by the Times Dispatch and a lot by Channel 6 too, but Virginia Preps doesn't cover them either, and they are considered Richmond Metro, and even had the Metro POY in football just a few years ago and had the Metro POY in softball last season.

Hey Danny, Essex is very much so 804 and they rep the 804 hard down there. They won C1 this past year with a boatload of freshman and sophomores. I would put my money on Todd Jones’ guys to beat a good number of the bigger schools in the Richmond Metro this upcoming season. They are loaded.
