Tyler Close, LB, and one of the leading tacklers this year will continue his education and football career at D2 Carson Newman in TN.
Daniel Ponton, DB, will join RG Dallas Herndon to continue his education and football career at Christopher Newport in Newport News.
They join Braxton Wall RT, W&L, & RB Donte Clayborne, Bluefield College, as Spartans playing at the next level. Alex Ramsey, FB/DE has an offer to continue at VMI, pending his ACT, but I'm not sure if that has been finalized yet. Congratulations to all of these guys and their families on their college choices to further their education and to play football as well!
