Our final review of the top prospects from the VHSL State Champs feature the Oscar Smith Tigers Oscar Smith won the VHSL Class 6 championship. Head Coach Chris Scott told me in April last year the Tigers would win the State title and his prediction came to fruition with a 21-20 win over Madison. The title was the second under Scott who also won the title on 2021.

Oscar Smith had three Rivals star rated prospects in the 2025 class. Safety Jahmari Deloatch (6-foot-0, 170) was 1st team All-State at Defensive Back. He was credited with 62 tackles, three interceptions and three pass breakups. Deloatch had committed verbally to Cincinnati but flipped his decision and committed to Virginia Tech. Deloatch was a December graduate is now a member of the Hokies football team.
