Virginia Episcopal entered the 2016 VISAA State tournament as the #7 seed but the Bishops will play for another State championship after defeated St Anne's-Belfield 79-73. Pittsburgh commit Justice Kithcart scored 29 points while dropping seven assists and Kentucky recruit Satcha Killeya-Jones added 19 points, 14 rebounds and six rebounds to lead the Bishops.
Virginia Episcopal took the lead for good thanks to a big second quarter from Kevin Quinn who put on a shooting display. Quinn buried three treys each in both the 1st and second quarter to score scored all 18 of his points in the 1st half. The Bishops led 62-51 after three quarters of play.
St Anne's-Belfield came out of the locker room with renewed energy and a 7-0 burst pulled the Saints to within one at 47-46. However, Kithcart found Killeya-Jones on several alley-oops in the 2nd half and he helped Virginia Episcopal go back up by 11 after three.
