Giles does not have a chance to go back to back galax lost one senior and have 1,2,4,5,6 seeds returning. Giles shouldn't have won this year but because of bad play galax had to settle for second. But next year look for the maroon tide to get there second state title in 3 years. Giles lost 1 and 3 seeds and after Tanner Carbough they have no one else returning besides him. IF ANYONE DISAGREES WITH THIS PLEASE REPLY!!!!
ok first off Tanner Carbough is the first seed and they have a heck of a freshman named Gunner Frazier coming up!
Okay first off Zeke Shaffer of Radford is going to win again! 2nd galax shouldn't have won it 2 years ago and should never have made it out of the region! The state tournament was held on the worst golf course in the state of virginia and they happened to play well. Why does everyone hype galax up in every sport? I don't know if Giles will win again or not but i'm happy that they knocked off those cocky players from Galax! I sure hope galax doesn't win though! A late Congrats to Coach Johnson and the Giles team! Glad ya'll took home the title.
so your saying if you won a State Championship that you wouldnt be somewhat cocky? and blaming the course is an excuse. how can you say a team that won shouldnt have won at all. or even be in the running? can you not say congrats to kids on winning a title? or is that to much to ask. Galax has to be cocky cause no one else gives them a damn chance at anything if there great or not in the sport. Galax basketball could win state and someone could say they didnt deserve it, they played a weak district, they played at the worst place ever, or they just got lucky. You cant get lucky all season long. your luck is bound to run out eventually. Give credit where it is due. Galax fans gives others schools credit and from what i see cocky people never give out credit. I hope galax will come back and win the state title again just to piss all of our haters wrong, and they can do it to.
No i'm not going to give them credit bc they are cocky even if they did win! Im not going to say i wouldnt be cocky but not all the time like fellas from galax! I wouldnt say anything about basketball if they won bc i didnt play although i have said something about basketball and the divisions! Not giving credit because they shouldn't have been there in the first place! By far a weak district in golf no questions asked!
And can the players help that they play a weak district? Not at all. The players showed up and played like there supposeto. Since they won the state that means that they beat the best the state had to offer. it would be the same way if Fort Chiswell came out the MED and won it all. If they wasnt any good then they wouldnt have made it through region and wouldnt have won state if they wasnt any good. And i think that to win sometimes you have to be cocky to a degree. i know everyone of those boys and they are good kids and love winning, but despise losing but i do know this, Galax will Win it all again next year with Brock Cox leading the way.
Brock Cox is a Damn good golfer. They lost Shaffer that is it. They will win and after they do you will have to put up with there cocky asses the rest of the year buddy. They might be cocky but they have reasons to be.

No Sir, I am no golfer. Try to play on sundays if that counts. I play football. Number 10 for Galax. Wr/Db/Lb. everyone at galax that wins are cocky they are cocky cause they win. they have the right to be.
galax golfers may have a right to be cocky. but should they be? confident yes, cocky no. thats going to get you no where in life. galax needs to win a state championship in something other than golf before they can get any respect from anyone. i played golf so i know how hard it is, but no one else does. win something else and then be cocky.
Well Galax has won Tennis as well. Y is it that Giles can be congratulated but Galax wins something and they get ragged on. and it seems like Galax won just cause of luck not cause they work hard. Thats being a sore loser. Blaming it on the course or something. So what if there confident that may be there way of being it. You win something like that you will walk with a swag cause they deserve to. Sorry Galax doesnt win in everything. But that doesnt mean what we do win something in we cant get any credit for it. I see no credit for any time galax wins anything. Its always luck for Galax. or there is a reason that made galax win. You do here us Galax fans atleast give credit where it is due. I Know the kids that won that state championship. they worked hard for everything. And im sure that giles worked hard over the off season to get better to win it this year. Hard work will get you where you wanna be in life. I know radford has some cocky teams as well but they deserve to have that swag cause of how they win.
i agree. if you win at something you deserve to be confident, or have some swag. but there is a big difference between being confident and cocky. no team at radford is cocky. do we act like we've got swag and we're going to win every thing we do? yes, because we mostly do. are we cocky and disrespect out opponent? nope, because thats not how its done, and its not going to get you anywhere.
im pretty sure i dont see our players from any sport disrespect others. we might run our mouths some, but so does almoste very athelet in the world of sports. even Tim Tebow would talk trash. And everyone loves him. The players arent cocky, they have a swag that is different from other peopls swag. I know them all personally and we were actually talking about this yesterday eating lunch and they arent cocky they just dont care how things turn out. They dont like losing but its not the end of the world to them.They were glad they won state but Honestly they never said a word about it at school or to anyone around me in a braging way. THey earned just like Radford earns all there great championships and your right they are good at almost everything. There is no doubt about that and they get there by working hard not by a bad course or the refs or anything like that. Im pretty sure NO ONE wins a state Championship by just breezing there way to it and just wining cause it was played on a bad course. Yes our teams might talk trash during a game or something but thats smart. get in your opp head. As long as its still in a resionable manner i dont see a problem. Every Athelet is going to talk its the will and want to win talking.
