Interesting that this is coming out right after Trump loses the presidency. Maybe I’m being a conspiracy theorist, but it seems like this move feels politically expedient. Of course, that’s easily waved away if you consider that VA has been Dem controlled all along. Outside of my theories, it is hard to argue with the health justification provided.

I don’t think it’s political, just the facts. Increase in cases because of kids going back to school was expected. Hopefully the cases die down as the weather starts getting colder.

Yeah, I was probably wearing my tinfoil hat too tightly this morning. Most are saying cases will INCREASE due to the weather causing more people to stay inside, where spread is more likely to occur.

Important to recognize:

1) This woman has ZERO actual power to do what she's suggested.

2) This woman is talking specifically about a few counties in SWVA. Virginia as a whole is doing very well currently, at least in a comparative sense.

These few SWVA counties need to get their act together, that's all.

I realize that this isn't a football post, but the winter forum is dead and this article is related to the topic of this thread. This coach resigned to avoid possibly exposing his family to COVID. The school administration should've been willing to work with him since the season will be short and he's had success. Reading between the lines, hopefully it still may work out that he returns as coach for the 2021-2022 season.

He’s doing right. Simply get out of the way without making a big deal out of it so that the kids can play. Kuddos to him!
