From looking at scores in newspaper and on internet, it appears scoring is down this season. Hardly any team ever scores 70 points. is the talent level down ? or is it just early season shooting woes ?

70 points is a LOT to consistently score on the high school level.
A majority of college teams don't average 70 and they play 40 minutes with a shot clock vs. 32.

Even in a blow out it is harder this year to get to 70. If you are up by 30 the clock runs.
