Donoven Tennyson first year at Benedictine Preparatory School was a big success as the junior receiver helped the Cadets to the D1 State championship. His performance on the field led to his first scholarship offer.
"I received my 1st offer from the University of Virginia," Tennyson said. "I really like the coaching staff and the fact that they very personable."
Tennyson was a standout receiver and a game-changing kick returner finishing the year with 11 touchdowns on 41 catches for 841 yards. he also returned three kicks for touchdowns. Tennyson said it was his explosiveness that generated the interest from top level schools.
"They like my big play ability, speed and hands," Tennyson said. "I run a low 4.4 and I feel I can make plays in any offense."
