Hickory utility player Stephen Berczek won the 5-10-5 SPARQ category during the Best of the 757 Baseball showcase and he had the best overall SPARQ score to win the crown as the Best of the 757.
In addition to winning the shuttle, Berczek posted excellent times in all the events. He finished third in the 60-yard dash, third in the vertical jump, and fifth in the powerball toss for an overall SPARQ score of 68.70.
A junior at Hickory High School, Berczek played on the varsity team as a sophomore and he listed several positions during his registration including the middle infield positions and both center and left field.
