Best of the 757 Spotlight - Alex Blankenship

Landstown rising senior Alex Blankenship brings star credentials to the Best of the 757 Baseball event. He made All-Region outfielder as a junior as well as All-Beach. Blankenship also pitched for the Eagles and was the teams ace pitcher.

He attended the inaugural Best of the 757 Baseball event and says he plans on attending this years event too.

"I couldnt attend last year but it was a good camp the first year," he said. "I really liked the vertical leap. It's something different than running and throwing."



A good showing at the Best of the 757 might give more exposure to college hopefuls.

"There are a couple of schools right now that are interested in me," Blankenship said. "I would like to pitch in college but if I had the chance (pitch, outfield) I would do both."


Blankenship has played summer baseball with the Mid Atlantic Pirates coached by Bobby Mckinney and the Knights coached by Jack Moore.
