I'll have to check out that Israeli Football League that it mentions. Due to the collapse of the AAF I actually watched a lot of the IFL and NAL this spring and summer. Dare I say, more than what I watched of the NFL last season and the season before combined.

Most of the open dates match up with a team already scheduled -
8/30, 10/4 - Craig Co. (H)
10/4, 11/1 - Galax (H)
10/11, 11/1 - Rural Retreat (A)
10/11, 10/25 - George Wythe (A)
10/18, 11/8 - Auburn (H)
10/18, 11/8 - Fort Chiswell (A)

only other possibilites I see...
8/30, 9/27, 10/18 - Montcalm
10/11, 10/18 - North Cross
9/6, 9/27 - Roanoke Catholic (oh well)

Which is why you play the same team two times in a season if need be. Northside and LB did this last year. That's how teams get a 10th game. Just play twice.

Galax and Craig county were both on the Bland schedule and both have open dates on 10/4 so that is a possible make up game but idk if that will happen.

I wonder if there are any schools on the NC side that have an opening for an extra game this season? It seems like every year there is at least one school down around Greensboro that cancels football season due to low numbers and someone cant fill out their 11 game schedule.

Craig County assured of playing 2019 season

Craig County began practice with fewer than 20 varsity players, but the Rockets now have more than 20.

As a result, athletic director Carrie Hutton said, Craig is not in danger of having to cancel its 2019 season.

“We’ve added several since practice started,” she said.

Craig County’s scheduled season opener Aug. 30 at Bland County was wiped out. However, Hutton said, it is unlikely that the Rockets will add a 10th game.

“That will give us a chance to rest up for the season,” she said. “I guess we’re going to treat it as another open week.”
