Bearcats stun Richlands, 70-64
Tyler Strong led four Virginia High scorers in double figures with 20 points as the balanced Bearcats stunned Richlands, 70-64, for a Southwest District boys basketball win on Thursday night.
VHS used a quick start, jumping out to a 13-4 lead eight minutes into the game and held off the Blue Tornado the rest of the way.
Gavin Austin (14 points), Alex Inman (10 points) and Johnny Nquyen (10 points) also played well for VHS.
Richlands also had four scorers in double figures with Cade Simmons scoring 19 points to lead the Blue Tornado.
