Varina vs Kings Fork was one of best defensive battles I have ever seen in HS basketball. The score was 5-6 in the 2nd quarter. Neither team could score. Varina wins and advances to the chip.

That sounds very similar to the varina game, KJ Wyche was double and triple teamed by Kings Fork all night and he was off offensively. He picked up his 4th foul and was sent to the bench with 6 minutes left in 4th quarter down by 7 and didn't return until 2 minutes left. Number 10 Conway Jr. Went off for 9 straight points to give Varina the lead by 2 by the kj returned.

For the first time in 56 years, E.C. Glass is headed to a state boys basketball championship.
