The Brookville Bees buzz over to Rocky Mount, Virginia Friday, Sept. 29 to face the Franklin County Eagles for the first time in nine years.
Bees Head Coach Jon Meeks, now in his 10th season at Brookville, defeated Franklin County 35-7 on Oct. 17, 2014 in Rocky Mount when the Eagles were still a Class 6 school in the VHSL. It was Meeks' first year as the Head Bee and he has gone on to win 71 games at Brookville, putting him just three victories behind the legendary John "Bunker" Hill who won 74. Coach Meeks is also just ten wins away from tying his Hampden-Sydney College Football teammate Jeff Woody who is the all-time winningest head varsity football game in Brookville history with 81 wins. Woody is currently head coach at Charlottesville High School after a successful eight-year stint at E.C. Glass, two seasons at Monticello High School and 8 years at his alma mater, Brookville.
