In my opinion I don't think it will surprise anyone if Brookville has another great season. Barnard is sensational (He should win the award tonight for the areas best quarterback at the Titan Team trophy banquet) and will give defenses nightmares. They always have lightning quick skill players, and they have a great kicker in Cline. The early reports I have heard is that the guys in the trenches are much improved.. which was their weakest spot last season. The Bee's have a solid schedule and will compete with anyone. The down side....they get the first week bye so they will have to wait until September and then they have 10 straight regular season games.Really looking forward to seeing my Bees back in action. I think people are underestimating them compared to some of the other Seminole and area teams. I think they may surprise some people.
Interesting. Obviously, I am rooting for Brookville to win the Seminole over the Pioneers, but I think you make some good points about the quality of competition. Did you attend the Heritage/SR scrimmage? I heard the same. I heard SR looked slow and that even Overstreet looked like he had lost a step, but I am curious to see what you thought (SR fans are easily triggered). I don't think Glass will live up to the hype. They will fade down the stretch again this year. The paper seems to think JF will be alot better. As much as I hate the Cavaliers I think they may be. Can't wait until things get going. The Bees are off before hosting PH. Where should I go this Friday?I've watched a lot of football and the Seminole is the toughest district without a shadow of a doubt. For example SR(considered as one of the top teams in state) played heritage and got embarrassed. The pioneer's had a easy time stopping the wing and moved the ball at will. Brookville has the best QB in the area and seemed to have a improved on the offensive and defensive line. EC Glass/Amherst are both above average teams. JF has the best coaching staff in district, expect them to make major moves this year. Heritage will win district but don't sleep on JF/Brookville and Amherst.
