Brunswick and Goochland Players Hurt

Hoping to get an update on Brunswick player taken to hospital after the game last night. His injury seemed to be concussion related. I am hoping the young man is doing ok....

I have an update on Goochland's star Jordan Jefferson. Jordan had surgery on his broken leg last night. Hoping he makes a full recovery.

Good luck to Brunswick in the coming weeks. They have a very talented team and will be a tough opponent for the remaining teams.

I was really hoping to see you guys next week. Though we haven't had success I always enjoy the crowd yall bring and the class you have. It's a shame Jeffersons career ended that way. Great player

Thanks for the kind words about Goochland. We have just as much respect for Wilson and its fan base as well. We have been treated very well at your facility. It would have been nice to have battled for a fourth straight year.

Losing Jordan Jefferson really hurt Goochland's chances. He is such a dynamic player on both sides of the ball. I would have liked to see Jordan Jefferson walk off the home field on his own terms win or lose. That is the tough thing for me. Brunswick went right after the area Jordan would have been and was successful. Smart coaching and great players for Brunswick made the plays to take over the game. Jordan's injury was ugly and I think mentally affected Goochland morale wise and schematically as well. No excuses from a Goochland perspective though. No shame to losing to Brunswick. It was their night and deserved the victory. Future for my "Dog's" is very bright and we will get to work for next season.

You hate to see an injury like that any time. Best wishes to him.

I'm not sure what position Jefferson was on defense this year, but if he is a DB, I was always told to attack the replacement DB anytime a second stringer came in, at least the first 2 plays: if he stops them both, he may not be as weak as thought, if you beat him 1 of those 2 times, his confidence is typically gone and then it's a long night for them. I once saw Fort Defiance attack 1 DB for an entire half and throw for over 300 yards.

Jordan is a CB and RB. Last year he also played QB when the starting QB went down for the season. He has been a very special player for 4 years. When Goochland needed a play, he made it. As good as he is, he is such a good young man as well. Well mannered and very unselfish. If he was my son, I would be so proud of every aspect of him. Just a great young man....
