The Knights begin the 2015-2016 campaign on the road and pick up a good road win. Leon Ragland (who finished his football career as Buckingham's 2nd all time leading rusher behind John Perkins) dusted off the football legs and poured in a game high 27 points for the Knights. B.J. Gough chipped in with 12 points as well. Sophomore Brycen Newby grabbed a career high 18 rebounds to help the Knights cause. Buckingham (1-0, 1-0) will travel to Randolph-Henry on Tuesday, Dec. 8th for their next contest and then have their home opener on Wednesday the 9th against Chatham.

How did they do against R-H? Haven't heard anything.

Randolph-Henry won 47-44. Tariq Gough led the Knights with 16 points. Knights fell to Chatham 69-67 in their home opener last night. B.J. Gough led the Knights with 19 points. Sorry to leave you hanging. I don't get on preps as much as I used to. Not hiding from posting games that they lose. Buckingham will play its 3rd game in as many nights tonight as the host Central Lunenburg. They are off Friday as the lone district team not playing.

Got in a transfer from Amelia Academy plus 4 kids that been in the gym and didn't play football. Most important new coaching staff. Former Amelia standout Kevin Rather from 98-2000 era on staff.

Amelia could be one of the leaders at this point. Looks like teams are somewhat even this year based on the scores. Nottoway has lost several games but they have been relatively close. They might have a good chance tonight at home against a young R-H team.
