Sounds like he is very much a part of the team/staff. As such it's interesting that we are accused of several things in this thread that we were making about us. I see where it's stated we have a great coaching staff then read where we condone or even encourage that kind of behavior from "our area". For the record Riverheads does not practice or preach unsportsmanlike behavior. I hope whoever this person is realizes that just like not all Wilson fans are a$$holes, neither are all Riverheads fans. We have our share just like you know you have yours. Trevor as we have talked several times you know I am fairly objective when we discuss your team and I do give you a hard time from time to time. I don't make it personal or attack your players rep though and that is a fact. If this person is associated with the team then shame on him is all I will say.
I want to congratulate Gap and Draft again on great game that will be the talk of their series for a few years. Games like that are tough because both teams played their hearts out. Good luck to Gap as they host this week, and build on the things you learned about yourself to Draft.
And just to lighten things up a bit, I didn't have someone creating my name and all, but there was absolutely no misspelling of my username. It is a nickname given to me a long time ago, so I used it as a username. As much as it would be sacrilege around here, I am not really into guns. Never has been my thing
I said I was not going to get into this mess but I do want to clear this up. I am in no way affiliated with the School or coaching staff but nice try. I am a parent and fan. I am not attacking your character or the coaches. I am just stating facts, and anyone that reads these boards can see over the last 4 years not a single post about Wilson did not have some negative comment from one of you guys. It's in writing, you can actually look it up. I just comment on a game that didn't involve either team and I get jabbed. I was at the game and wanted to give an unbiased opinion of what I saw. It's all good but don't think that I am not going to comeback with something. I am not xcross "your team is no gewd you suk" kinda guy but I will give back what you dish out.

As far as the player coming into our locker room after the game, ask around it did happen. Did the coaching staff know? I doubt it, but who honestly does that? By learned I meant the parents and adults.

I just realized I didn't answer your question Longtimer when he had the opportunity to go into our locker room. It was after the game. A very ugly game on our side which had way too many players unable to play in a big rivalry game. Not a good time to chit chat.

My only objection to anything you said was when you made it sound as if the coaches condoned or encouraged that kind of behavior. I have no doubt that high school kids get caught up in emotion and do stupid things. Heck for that matter, it only gets worse on the college and pro levels.
I have watched the Wilson football team compete against RHS and other school for the forty years or so . I played against them , Their lack of character and attempts to hurt players when he game was out of hand has eat on me over the years . To say I dislike them is an under statement . An ax to grind , you bet .
Talked to some kids that were there , in the Hornet Nest that night after the game . The truth is a young player , a transfer from Wilson , felt so bad for his former friends , he went to their side and wished them the best of luck the rest of the season . Little did he know this was the wrong time and place to wish them a good deed . He did not realize they were his former friends . Since his move to the Red Team he has to understand he is not one of them anymore . The kid made a mistake and now he is a smarter , due to his actions .

This went to no way a kid could come into our locker room to actually finding out ya, something did happen.
Mr. Xcross has such a fine reputation I guess he showed me up. He forgot the part that the kid entered the locker room with a tear in his eye, a rose in his mouth and a box of chocolates under one arm.
You have a history off the field that you cannot run from not matter how hard you try. Win some sportsmanship awards and show class to the area, not just us and maybe some of us would actually enjoy some of your success with you.
We get a guy last year (NOT FROM G'VILLE) with the long name who hates Wilson so much he can name the third string long snapper. Gunz gets Xcross's long lost cousin from Gap who just found out he has electricity this past Saturday.... Ya right lol.
I am out of this thread. Xcross wins and the red team win again in their own minds. I will be back on another thread when I have something to add, or when I can argue with our friends from South Augusta.
Trevor, Xcross's story actually is partially correct and he wasn't the only one. I do not in any way want a kids name being brought into a silly adult argument on a public forum. I hold the adults accountable for character flaws.

Besides it is time to go out and enjoy Thanksgiving and get ready for this weekend's high school action, not to mention the big VT/UVA game, and of course watching ALL those quality teams in the NFC East decide who wants the pennant that nobody seems to deserve.

We have had electricity for some time now! As a matter of fact most of my life but this internet stuff pretty neat. Hope to get out to the Bison game tomorrow night I will be the one wearing camo. That wasn't the original intent of the post longtime, I guess I am just not as good at summaries as you. Whether he was in or not is moot from my point of view as I stated in the very beginning that wasn't the reason SD lost. But I had quite a few people asking me what happened in the game, and I figured there would be people asking on here so I posted what I thought. Sounds like I (and everyone from SD) wasn't the only one with the point of view he wasn't in, but it really doesn't matter. I will say this, I can see how someone could see what I stated as something behind rose colored glasses, but I think I am pretty darn sure that the biggest rivalries (and the hatred between the teams occurs between SD vs Wilson, Wilson vs Riverheads, and SD vs Riverheads (to a lesser degree, maybe Riverheads vs. Buffalo Gap as well). So someone from Wilson saying that made me thing I wasn't just being a homer on that. Maybe we were both wrong though.
But haybales, nobody will be able to see you at the BG game if you are in camo, isn't that stuff supposed to hide you
