Bunt the ball

just watched a 2-1 final and did not see a bunt. What has happened that coaches don't bunt ? If you don't call a bunt its on coaches, but if kid misses the sign or misses the bunt its on the player for not making a team play. Damn I get frustrated!! Rant over

Northumberland coach Johnnie Mothershead won a state championship in 2014 off of bunting. Northumberland this year has occasionally used it to win game's. Rappahannock coach Jim Bieger is also famous for suicide squeezes and has won a state championship using it. It's sort of an art if you ask me. Take your power hitters and ask them to bunting and they tap it right to the pitcher. Witnessed it tonight. But, take your eight spot hitter who gets out 90 percent of the time and somehow lays the ball in the perfect spot that drives in 2 runs. Although it sounds like a simple thing to do in game's, to move runners around and score(small ball). The game is changing more kids are trying to hit the ball as hard as they can with runners on in hopes of bringing the run in. When in reality if played right bunting could do the same thing.

I believe the game dictates bunting and when you bunt, a 2-1 ball game is probably a game you need to bunt to make things happen
