Burton 12 Chilhowie 7 Final

@kwhs95fan, I agree rematches tend to favor the defeated team from the first game if it is fairly close. Their first game wasn’t that close so I truthfully expected Chilhowie to win. There was talk of early season turmoil for JIB that I have no other information on but it is a good win for them for sure.

@Andersonj829,
It is my understanding that Brown was held out for his ankle again. Pretty sure he played the first round game and scored for them but someone from down that way may have that info.

Brown did not play against Holston. More of a precaution I believe.

But huge congrats to Burton!! After losing big to Chilhowie the last two meetings, they came out on a mission and didn't allow an offensive TD. With all the off field stuff to being the season, Burton advancing to the Region D title game and going 10-2 is absolutely awesome for them.

Not sure they have enough to stop PH, but if Brown doesn't play and Burton keeps this nasty defense going, it could be a dogfight.

JIB football coach jimbo Adams was suspended/relieved before the season.

Wow, had not followed along close enough to know that. In light of that what a great season for this team. Good luck today to JIB.

Sometimes not even close games. The few that pop in my head: Clarke/East Rock this year (42-7 CC regular season, 41-7 ER playoffs), Salem/Blacksburg 2017: 49-12 BB in Regular season, 33-32 Salem playoffs, and 2014 Giles/Glenvar: 33-0 Giles regular season, 35-0 Glenvar in playoffs.
