It’s quite obvious that people don’t realize that HSHS used their BACKUP QB most of the first half,after their first 2 scores. The starter,Jones returned to start the 3rd quarter to increase the lead back to 3 scores immediately. Avalon’s first score(2seconds left in the half) was against a backup corner,in for experience(it didn’t go well). HSHS could have chosen to put Avalon away early,but the backup getting REAL experience was more important. He’s gonna be a good one too.

That Defense was everything advertised against that massive offensive line for Avalon and Avalon’s impressive QB(23 of 40).

I like the JV QB from what I've seen the last two season vs what I saw from #12. IMHO. Good problem to have though.

#12 Dent was at Benedictine last year. He’s 6’4-210lbs and has excellent form,but needs to get used to the HSHS system. He’s getting a lot of work in,and is improving every game(2scrimmages and one regular game). He did well in 7 on 7,but he’s gotta get the nerves out now that it’s real. He’s got a cannon! Once he gets comfortable with the system...look out! Behind that OLine,it shouldn’t take long. The JV kid is gonna be a monster too!
