Cave Spring’s Swisher suffers shoulder injury
Cave Spring senior John Swisher, who overcame leukemia to return to the starting lineup, suffered a separated shoulder during last week’s 31-17 season-opening loss at William Byrd.
Cave Spring coach Tim Fulton said Swisher will be re-evaluated in “two weeks” to determine his status for the rest of the season.
The Knights are idle this Friday.
There was an article in the RT last week chronicling his tough journey to make it through. He's persevered to make it back on the field and now he'll have to fight through this adversity as well. Hopefully he can overcome the separated shoulder and get back on the field again to enjoy his Sr season.
