Now that was a start- NHS kicked off and CB took it to the house. Well done to CB.

On the following kickoff, CB avoided Palmer and kicked to Morris. Morris promptly took it 80 yards to the house himself.

7-6 NHS is up with the ball.

CB with a pick 6.

Ugly start for the Indians. 2 point conversion stopped again.

12-7 CB

Northumberland really needs to work on all special teams. It is really bad at times. Must be fixed to go far.

NHS gets a fumble to get ball back.

Turnover- good job to CB. Ill leave it at that.

Horrendous play in the secondary allows another CB TD. Guy was open by 20 yards.

28-26 NHS at end 28-26.

Hope Indians can get it together.

Indian D lead by Caleb Davis and Collin Saunders and Palmer get another fumble to get Indians ball back.

Close one.

On a 3rd down play, NHS gets penalty. 1st down and goal. CB scores and then is wide open again for the two point pass.

35-34 NHS. 1:03 left.

Let me say 1st how proud I am that NHS held on and defeated a talented and crazy tough CB team. Well done.

CB is so well coached (great film study and prep work) and their discipline is off the charts. Also, thanks to CB for being so classy. NHS has had a tough couple last games with unruly visitors and tonight was all about great (and too close for me) NND football.

As for Northumberland, overall the Indians held on and got the W.

However, it must be a learning experience because Rapp will defeat the Northside next week if a few things are not fixed.

NHS was up 28-12 right before half with all the momentum and was to receive the 2nd half kickoff.

Just two things that I will mention-

1) The horrendous mistakes in the secondary tonight led to a late CB bomb right before half. That was a game changer. I saw adjustments were made that were good. Then in the 2nd half a CB WR was let go over 20 yards past the D for an embarrassing TD bomb.

Palmer or Saunders must play free safety v Rapp.

2) Every game, 4 or 5 times, a player off the bench does not go onto the field (usually during special teams). This causes confusion and delay of game penalties. If the kid is not paying attention, he should not play anymore. People need to pay attention at all times and at practice. It is infuriating.

On a positive note - NHS Kicker Harry Lee went 5 for 5 with his extra points tonight. CB never even tried an extra point. That was the difference in the game.

Harry Lee and those that blocked for him would be my MVP of the game.
