Central Woodstock at Madison…

Central scored on its first two possessions methodically behind Forbes on the ground. 14-0.

Madison had a decent drive but couldn’t convert on 4th down. Central then scored on a Forbes 40+ yd run. Missed PAT. 20-0 Halftime.

Thoughts so far…

MC has done a good job on Lopez so far but Central has a lot more on defense.

MC got QB1 back tonight but he looks rusty. He is a sophomore so maybe it’s nerves too? We dropped a big gainer/probable TD for MC.

Central gets the ball to start the 3rd. If MC doesn’t stop them, it’ll be a long(er) night! Central is a physical bunch.

End of 3. Central took opening kickoff on 6 and half minute drive for a TD. 27-0.

MC drove down to the Central 4 but was stopped on the 1/2 yard line on fourth down.

Fourth quarter…Central kicked a 30 yard FG. 30-0.

MC throws a 45 yard TD pass. 30-7.

Central runs out the clock. Final 30-7. Central is as good as advertised.

Was pretty clean, quick game. Not many penalties called. One curious thing…twice the zebras picked up flags after calling Central for PI. Wouldn’t have changed anything but was a bit curious.

Yeah he is. He's hard nosed. I watched him in Salem last year and as good as Graham was/is, they had a tough time with him too.
