Chancellor/Lafayette Scrimmage

Interesting scrimmage that after the first two series it was hard to tell if the starters for Lafayette were in on offense/defense in their entirety. In the first two possessions 1 Td and the other down to the Chancellor 10 yard line. Moved the ball well. Chancellor scored a field goal and definitely is a passing team this year. Very good defense against the run by Chancellor. The only downside for Lafayette was an injury to starting Rb Kyle Johnson. Went off on a stretcher and looked like a leg injury. Don't know how serious. I really liked Chancellor's Defensive line- quick and hard hitting. The difference between the two was Lafayette's WR Grimsley, #1 who Chancellor had a tough time defending. Both teams look solid and both had some fine tuning.

Ps- this was Lafayette's first and only scrimmage - last weeks was canceled due to heat with King William. First game in 2 weeks .

I didn't make it down but have seen some of the video. The 2s were is more than the 1s are far as I can tell. They were also moving players around to different positions. Still working out kinks. They'll be ready for Riverbed on Friday for sure. The Rams looked good as always. Hope ya'll have a good year and we get to meet under game time situations. Always a good game!!!!

Too bad you did not make it- great weather at gametime. Kyle Johnson one of our starting RB that was injured late and left on a stretcher is ok. The X- Rays were negative- nothing broken. Just a sore calf from being stepped on during the tackle. Maybe next time the playoffs down here!

My history of traveling to play Lafayette in a playoff game isn't too good (ref 2002 and 2003). How about ya'll come this way this time!
